Twitter, another tool for financial reporters covering BBVA’s earnings releases

The traditional press conference to discuss BBVA’s quarterly results kicks off this Wednesday at midday. For the second time, those journalists unable to attend in person can follow the events at Campus BBVA through our online pressroom and the related Twitter account: @PressRoom_BBVA.

Journalists can use this dedicated media coverage channel – @PressRoom_BBVA – to submit any questions they may have for BBVA’s chief operating officer, Ángel Cano, who will present on Wednesday. It is very easy to submit questions in this way: just send a Tweet using the following structure: “@PressRoom_BBVA + ‘name of media (if not obvious from the profile name)’ + question”. We will be fielding questions until 10am.

As we did during our 2Q earnings presentation last July, Ángel Cano will answer the questions submitted via Twitter during the Q&A session that follows the press conference. With this initiative, BBVA is attempting to provide due
coverage to journalists located outside the country who cannot attend the group’s global results presentation in person.
